Really dumb question from someone who has had koi for twenty years.

I have the breeder baskets in the pond.  The boys are chasing the girls.

What do koi eggs look like?

from what I found on the net their just lil tiny bubbles.  Only thing I know for sure is that string eggs are toads which I have now and a mass of eggs is frogs.  And the only reason I know my minnows have spawned is some of the males are guarding their eggs.  Theirs certain areas they chase the other fish from and they wont eat.  I have a bunch of babies now but I think their goldfish.  Last week and week before they were chasing each other all over.  Think most of my koi are still small except for 3.

I have found some whitish to light orange eggs really stuck to one of the breeder baskets.  I was expecting black (like caviar) and jelly like.  These feel almost tough.  No little black eyes yet.

Never mind those eggs.  Yesterday I found a koi had jumped into the basket and ate them!

Saturday son's girlfriend was checking out the breeder baskets and found we had baby koi in each of them!   Moved 16 babies to the acquarium.  Sunday we had more babies in the baskets and some outside the baskets.

Baby koi are not much to look at as you can see.  Now I have only 10 or 11 babies.  There are two plecos in the tank.  Don't know if they eat them or what?  Tried to post more pictures, but I get error message saying file is too large.

The three baby koi in the pond are now about three inches long.  They look so cute swimming with the big guys.  The babies in the aquarium are now 1/2" to 1-1.2".  Not sure at what size I'm supposed to cull.  I've had 7" to 8" koi change colors.
